Right below our Whaleman’s Chapel, we proudly have on display the work of Sergio García Sánchez! Sergio García Sánchez is a comic artist and illustrator who has done work for The New Yorker, The New York Times, and more. The New Bedford Port Society is happy to showcase “The Sharkish Sea”, a wonderful illustration from 2017 that depicts Captain Ahab and his crew venture on perilous waters during their voyage.
