Call Me Ishmael by Sergio García Sánchez

The New Bedford Port Society would like to share another piece of Sergio García Sánchez’s work here at the Seamen’s Bethel titled “Call Me Ishmael.” Any fan of Herman Melville’s Moby Dick will recognize this combination of multiple iconic scenes from the novel. Not only does Sánchez help us visualize Ahab’s obsession with whaling but also cleverly uses the famous first words of Moby Dick for the title itself. We know these pictures just aren’t like the real deal so stop by the Seamen’s Bethel today and check it out for yourself!
