We remember Quincy A. Harlow from Bridgewater, Massachusetts. Quincy was deemed as a green hand- an individual typically on their first voyage with minimal experience. While venturing on the Braganza in the Atlantic Ocean, Quincy unfortunately fell overboard and the 19 year old was tragically unable to be recovered. His parents, Calvin and Fanny Harlow erected a memorial for their son in Central Cemetery in Bridgewater soon after. Though Quincy’s life ended far too soon, we can still pay tribute to his memory and never forget his bravery.
