Richard Karoll Fabio passed peacefully Friday October 2nd surrounded by friends and loved ones.
A lifelong resident of New Bedford, Richard was a leader, teacher, mentor, and good friend to many. Richard was a proud member of the New Bedford Port Society Board of Managers, Finance Committee, and a key contributor to ensure the success of the “Event on the Hill” annual fundraiser.
The Port Society is a better organization, and I a better President thanks to Richard’s counsel, quick wit, and genuine kindness. I was blessed to be graced by Richard during my life’s journey and will miss him greatly.
