The New Bedford Port Society would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us for this year’s Memorial Day Service and Blessing of the Fleet. Seeing so many members of the community come together in remembrance made the occasion especially meaningful and served as a powerful reminder of the importance of honoring these traditions year after year.
This annual service has long been an important part of New Bedford’s maritime heritage, bringing people together to pause, reflect, and remember those who have been lost at sea, those who served our country, and loved ones whose memories continue to live on through gatherings like this. Moments of remembrance such as these help keep both history and community closely connected.
